Reception in Singapore
On July 29th, 2025, the Impact Principles Secretariat convened an in-person reception in Singapore centered on the theme of “Mobilizing Capital for Impact in Asia,” hosted by ABC Impact, Co-Chair of the Asia Regional Committee, and co-sponsored by Signatory Quona Capital.
Taking place as a side event ahead of the GIIN’s inaugural Asia Impact Forum and Investor Training, this gathering brought together LPs, GPs, and ecosystem leaders to address a core question for our industry: how can elevating rigor and integrity in impact management drive meaningful outcomes and fuel the growth of regional and global impact investing markets?
Opening remarks by the Impact Principles‘ Joohee Rand, the GIIN’s CEO Amit Bouri, and ABC Impact‘s Sugandhi Matta set the stage for a panel discussion exploring how investors can meet the unique impact opportunities in Asia and move from ambition to action to mobilize impact capital at scale and deliver outcomes with rigor.
Panelists included:
- Jeffrey Fang, Head of Investor Relations, ABC Impact
- Mason Wallick, Managing Director & CEO, Clime Capital
- Ganesh Rengaswamy, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Quona Capital
- Eliza Foo, Director, Impact Investing, Temasek
The conversation highlighted Asia’s dynamic and globally influential impact investing ecosystem, and reinforced that rigorous impact management—guided by shared frameworks like the Impact Principles—remains essential to ensuring integrity and scaling meaningful outcomes.
A few key takeaways:
- The Impact Principles function as a strategic lever for impact investors across the capital stack, providing a shared language for what rigorous impact management looks like in practice.
- LPs and GPs share both an ambition and a responsibility to elevate impact discipline and ensure investments drive real-world change. Collaboration is key to strengthening credibility and market alignment around impact practices.
- Asia’s impact ecosystem is dynamic and gaining global influence. Continued convergence and advancement of best practices will be critical to deploy capital with both discipline and scale.
- Between the inspiring insights from our speakers and the candid and productive conversations among participants, we were encouraged by the strong momentum and clear appetite for advancing Asia’s leadership in global impact investing.
A huge thank you to ABC Impact and Quona Capital for generously hosting and co-sponsoring this event, to the speakers for their insights, and to all participants for joining our community.
